City of Yuma Historical Commission Walking Tour

Please join the City Of Yuma's Historic Preservation Commission on Friday, September 3rd at 5:30pm and 7pm for a historic walking tour. Five locations will be featured on this tour including The Jim Powell Building, The Yuma Pioneer Building, The Vincent House, The First Yuma Hospital and Hoch Lumber. The tour will begin at Jim Powell's building.

The purpose of the Historic Preservation Commission is to promote the educational and cultural welfare of the citizens of Yuma through the identification, designation, and protection of those buildings, sites, districts, structures, and objects that reflect significant elements of the city’s historic, architectural, archaeological, and cultural heritage. The commission serves to benefit the Yuma community by preserving its past and the City’s unique character, culture, and feel. The commission's members include Chad Rayl, Jeanne Triplett, Lonnie Metzler, Deb Higgins, Aaron Prior, Teri Mekelburg, and Dave Hoch.
