City of Yuma Ambulance Service

The City of Yuma Ambulance Service provides Advanced Life Support care both on scene and for inter-facility transfers. Their 911 response area covers approximately 1100 square miles of both Yuma and Washington counties. Additionally, the Yuma Ambulance Service provides mutual aid response to surrounding areas including Wray and Washington, Phillips and Logan counties.

The City of Yuma Ambulance Service operates a fleet of 4 ambulances and utilizes a Quick Response Vehicle to ensure a rapid response to critical calls. The Yuma Ambulance Staff includes 2 full time Paramedics and one full time EMT. The service relies heavily on approximately 18 part time Paramedics and EMTs to provide care to the community. Additionally, these employees volunteer their time to many projects including training and education to ensure that are able to provide the most advanced and effective treatments to their patients when they need it the most.

Our mission is to deliver timely Advanced Life Support care of the highest quality. We strive to regularly participate in continuing education to ensure that our rural community receives the best pre-hospital care available. We promise to commit our knowledge, skills, time, and resources to provide professional emergency medical services for the community that exceeds the needs and expectations of those who require our assistance.
