Utility Systems Operator - Water/Wastewater
The City of Yuma, Colorado, Utility Services Department Water Division has an immediate opening for a Utility Systems Operator. Compensation range starts at $17.25 per hour with a competitive benefits package. Actual starting salary will depend on qualifications. Under the direction of the Water/Wastewater Superintendent, the Utility Systems Operator performs skilled, semi-skilled, and specialized operations of the City of Yuma’s water distribution system, drinking water facilities, wastewater collection system, wastewater treatment facilities, and related grounds and equipment. Candidates must also possess, or be able to obtain, a high school diploma or GED, a Class B CDL driver’s license and be insurable under the City’s insurance policy. The position will be required to take on-call rotation. Pre-employment requirements will include a criminal background check and drug screen. A City employment application is required. They shall also be responsible for routine reports, records, filing, and other duties as assigned. Emergency Medical Technicians answer to the Director. Emergency Medical Technicians may receive direct supervision, prehospital care direction and instruction from Paramedics.
