Utility Services Operator - Water/Wastewater
The City of Yuma, Colorado, Utility Services Department Water Division has an immediate opening for a Utility Systems Operator. Compensation range starts at $17.25 per hour with a competitive benefits package. Actual starting salary will depend on qualifications. Under the direction of the Water/Wastewater Superintendent, the Utility Systems Operator performs skilled, semi-skilled, and specialized operations of the City of Yuma’s water distribution system, drinking water facilities, wastewater collection system, wastewater treatment facilities, and related grounds and equipment. Candidates must also possess, or be able to obtain, a high school diploma or GED, a Class B CDL driver’s license and be insurable under the City’s insurance policy. The position will be required to take on-call rotation. Pre-employment requirements will include a criminal background check and drug screen. A City employment application is required. Equipment Operator and Laborer
The City of Yuma,Colorado,Street/Sanitation Department has an opening for a full time Equipment Operator and Laborer. Compensation starts at $ 13.65 to $15.50 hourly DOQ, plus a full benefit package. Under the direction of the Street/Sanitation Superintendent, the Operator/Laborer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repairs, and construction of City's streets, alleys, and roadway systems, as well as trash collection. The successful candidate must be insurable under the City's insurance policy. Pre-employment requirements will include a criminal background check as well as drug and alcohol screening.
